Wizards vs Celtics

 NBA Playoffs Preview

It’s time for our NBA Playoffs Preview to take a look at tonight’s game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Washington Wizards survived game 6 thanks to the last-second heroics of John Wall. The team will look to carry that momentum into Boston and close out this series tonight. Neither team has won a game on the road in this series and the Wizards will need to buck that trend to stay alive. John Wall and Bradley Beal are scoring a combined average of 48 points a game. Porter and Gortat were no-shows last game- the pair combined for eight shots and four points in game 6. Scot Brooks will need to create ways to get Porter and Gortat involved without forcing the ball to them. If the Wizards want to face the Cleveland Cavaliers, they will need to get more out of their players not named John Wall and Bradley Beal.

The Celtics and Wizards have played 10 times this year, so the teams are very familiar with each other. Game 6 could have gone either way, and with 3.9 seconds left, Wall happened to be the man with a quick decision and a true shot. Game 6 was not a good outing for the Celtics’ bench, they contributed 2/15 from the floor for a measly 5 points. Jaylen Brown looked way out of his league while Rozier and Smart didn’t give Boston much either. If the Celtics want to give the crowd at TD Gardens something to celebrate, the bench will need to step up a play like they have earlier in the season. If Crowder can take better shots and let Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford be the engines of the offense, the team has a good chance to move on to the Eastern Conference Finals.
