By Christopher Tyler Baker - 1 month ago in NBA News

NBA Playoffs Preview
Cleveland Cavaliers (1-0) at Boston Celtics (0-1)

Friday, May 19
8:30 ET at TD Gardens

Eastern Conference Finals

Following their 117-104 victory in game 1, the Cavaliers won their 12th consecutive post-season game, and they are showing no signs of slowing down. They will look to improve to 2-0 in Boston tonight.

The Cavs had three players score over 20 points in game 1- James (38), Love (32), and Thompson (20). They also did a great job of defending Isaiah Thomas and co, limiting Boston to just 39 points in the first half on 16-45 from the field with 2-16 from behind the arc. They also out rebounded the Celtics 28-14 in the opening half. The Cavs coasted to a victory in the second half of game 1. James was outstanding, scoring 38 points, nine rebounds, and seven assist. Kevin Love contributed a career-playoff-high 32 points and 12 rebounds.

Isaiah Thomas got off to a slow start and finished with just 17 points and 10 assists. He will need to find his rhythm early if Boston hopes to have a chance. Jae Crowder and Avery Bradley both contributed 21 points in the loosing effort. Al Horford had a terrible game on both sides of the court and finished with just 11 points. The Celtics will need all of their players to start hot and stay consistent if they hope to have at chance at dethroning King James and co. tonight in game 2.
