The consensus seems to be that Kawhi Leonard will play through his ankle injury tonight. The Spurs are down two games in the series and this game is a must win at home. Per Kevin Durant- “I’m 100% sure he’s going to play. I haven’t talked to anybody, but that’s just my gut. It’s Game 3 at home, and he’s got a few days of rest on that ankle. They’re a way better team, obviously, with him on the court. They pose a different threat.”

Golden State, much like the Cleveland Cavaliers, have swept both of their playoff opponents so far, and have two games up on the Spurs. Game 1 saw the Warriors trailing by as many as 25 points before the Leonard injury. Game 2 saw a 36 blowout. The Warriors are virtually unopposed on the parameter, but are having trouble rebounding. The Spurs are showing some signs of life in the form of excellent offensive rebounding and the emergence of Jonathon Simmons, but they are not the same team without their MVP.

The Spurs desperately need a win tonight, but we’re not too hopeful. It’s going to be a Warriors vs Cavs Finals.
