There is one thing that just about every daily fantasy fan has in common at this time of year— the need to win some money to pay off some holiday bills. But it is a little trickier picking out a roster for the final week of the regular season. Who is going to play? Who is going to sit? Who has something to play for?

Pick the right guys, and you could take advantage of the time of year and earn some holiday cash. But who are the right guys?

How about some DFS RB Recommendations?

Todd Gurley is certainly one guy to avoid. Yes, he may have been the key to you winning in previous weeks, but this week he will be resting his knee for the playoffs. Dallas rarely plays starters if they have a playoff spot locked up. So, don’t expect to see Ezekiel Elliott for long (if at all).

There are several guys on teams with something to play for that should have productive weeks:

•    Dalvin Cook, Minnesota Vikings: He has been playing very well of late, and the Vikings are in a must-win situation. Of course, the Bears have one of the toughest run defenses in the league. While Bears HC Matt Nagy has said guys are not going to be rested, that can change really easy.
•    Gus Edwards, Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens are going to play the most motivated eliminated team in the league, the Cleveland Browns. But they are not lacking in motivation either. The better Edwards plays now, the better his future will play out.
•    Saquon Barkley, New York Giants: The Cowboys are going to rest guys, and Barkley is going to want to lock down the Offensive Rookie of the Year.
•    C.J. Anderson, Los Angeles Rams: He is perhaps the most motivated player in the NFL this week. If he runs well again, he increases his chances of making it onto a roster next season. Playing a weak defensive team like the 49ers will certainly help.

Best Bet?

Go with Anderson and Barkley and maybe even Edwards as your flex. All three are in a position to have good days.

This is one of those weeks where the right wide receivers can make a huge difference for your daily fantasy team. Yes, they can every week. But this week, there will be guys that will be trying to dominate their opponents in spectacular fashion this week. Some will because they are trying to make the postseason.

Others just want to make a lasting impression in their last game of the season. But others are going to be resting for the playoffs. So—who should you start?

How about some DFS WR Recommendations?

You can definitely sit Odell Beckham Jr.—in case you didn’t already know that. There is no reason to think he’ll come back now with nothing on the line. Michael Thomas has been fantastic all season, but there is no reason the Saints will play him against Carolina.

But several guys could very well have big days:

•    DeAndre Hopkins, Houston Texans: Yes, he has a bum ankle, and the Jags have a good pass defense. But the Texans are going to be trying to win the division. To do so, Hopkins has to have a big day.
•    Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers: The best wide receiver in the NFL is going to do his part against one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL to give them a shot at the postseason.
•    Robert Foster, Buffalo Bills: If you are looking for a cheap option with upside, take Foster. Josh Allen is looking to get better and will be trying to put his best foot forward as he has in recent weeks. That means throwing to Foster early and often.
•    Calvin Ridley, Atlanta Falcons: It is not unusual for young guys to take center stage for non-playoff bound teams in Week 17. Ridley has had some great weeks this season and could have another one against a bad Tampa Bay defense.

Best Bet?

If you can afford to, take Hopkins and Brown. But if you can’t, roll with Hopkins, Foster, and Ridley. All three will be in a position to have great days—especially Hopkins. Should one of the other two end up having mediocre outings, Hopkins could do well enough to make up for it.
