Houston Texans Quarterback Shake-Up
After Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, it comes as no surprise that Deshaun Watson will be the Houston Texans starting quarterback in their Thursday night bout against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Quarterback Tom Savage was benched at halftime on Sunday after six sacks and two fumbles.
Watson scored the team’s only touchdown of the day in his first drive of the game.
Tuesday’s walk-through featured Deshaun Watson taking every snap with the first-team offense.
With the Texans inconsistency at offensive line on Sunday (they allowed ten total sacks), I wouldn’t be running to pick up Deshaun Watson as my QB1 this week. But, if you find yourself with Watson at quarterback you can be sure you have a quarterback that is mobile enough to extend plays far better than Tom Savage can.
