Don’t Overlook The Indianapolis Colts This Week

Don’t Overlook The Indianapolis Colts This Week

One of the worst games in recent NFL history is going to take place this week when the Indianapolis Colts take on the Houston Texans. Neither team is very good making it almost a shame that someone must win. You hate to see anyone get credited with a win for what is likely going to be on display Sunday.

But someone will win. That means points will be scored and daily fantasy points earned. A good case could be made not to start anyone from either roster. But a good case could also be made for starting a few of the Indianapolis Colts.

Jacoby Brissett

Jacoby Brissett has not been a great quarterback by any stretch of the imagination this year. He did so some flashes of talent though which can be hard to do when your offensive line and supporting cast I not playing well. But this week, against the injury-riddled Texans defense, Brissett could very well look like an All-Pro

Three of the last four QBs that have played the Texans scored 20+ points. Brissett threw for over 300 yards against the Texans back in Week Nine for 19.5 fantasy points (in ESPN leagues). With Houston’s offense struggling to move the ball lately, Brissett stands to have the ball in his hands a lot.

Jack Doyle

The Colts tight end hasn’t had a good week in some time, but the Texans tend to give up a good amount of points to tight ends this season, especially when they are on the road.

Jack Doyle has been targeted an incredible 102 times this season so chances are he is going to see the ball quite a bit (and has made 76 receptions). With the Texans defense being in the state that it is right now, don’t be shocked to see him break a few plays wide open.

The Colts Defense

Crazy talk, right? But when you consider that the Texans don’t really have a quarterback right now, will be missing DeAndre Hopkins (probably), and don’t have a running game worth talking about—well, any defense starts to look good.

Yes, even the Colts defense.

Indianapolis is going to want to put on a show for their fans in the regular season finale. With a team as bad as the Texans are right now as an opponent they should have no problem doing just that—which will be great for daily fantasy players.
