Week 5 Pro Picks
NFL Week 5 Hot Players for Your DraftKings Lineup
As you’re building your DraftKings lineup for week 5, here are some players that our pros agree are poised to have big games this week.
Tom Brady (QB-NE) – He’s back! Brady has been known to put up huge fantasy numbers when he has a chip on his shoulder, and he has a huge chip on his shoulder for week 5 as it’s his first week back after a 4 game suspension. He is also facing a below average Browns defense. We expect a big game from Brady this week.
Ben Roethlisberger (QB-PIT) – Last week Big Ben was 22 for 27 for 300 and 5TDs against the Chiefs. For week 5 he plays a Jets defense that is 26th in the league in passing yards per game. Revis hasn’t practiced this week and the Steelers look to exploit. Oh, yeah, he also is throwing to Antonio Brown.
C.J. Anderson (RB-DEN) – The Falcons LB core is in shambles and the Broncos get RT Donald Stevenson back this week. Week 4 was a down week for Anderson and our pros expect him to bounce back.
Melvin Gordon (RB-SD) – He’s the only viable running back on a high octane offense. He gets all the goal line work, most of the passing down work and he has shown improvement from last year. Gordon has the opportunity to show up big against a bad Raiders defense.
A.J. Green (WR-CIN) – Green went 10 for 173 1TD on 12 targets last week. Tyler Effort is out for another week so the passing game runs through Green. The Cowboys have been good against the pass this year but we expect Green to see a lot of targets in an effort to open up the field and exploit a vulnerable Dallas run defense.
Antonio Brown (WR-PIT) – Antonio Brown is intent on proving to everyone that he is the best wide receiver in the NFL. This week he faces a Jet’s secondary that is banged up and not performing well. We expect a lot of targets and a lot of production from Brown.
Jordy Nelson (WR-GB) – It didn’t take very long for Nelson and Rodgers to rekindle their chemistry. Nelson has 4TDs in 3 games and is showing no signs of health problems and no signs of letting off the gas. The Packers face an average NYG defense that can be exploited.
Delanie Walker (TE-TEN) – Last week Walker was slowed by a hamstring injury and only had 2 catches for 34 yards on 8 targets. This week Walker is off the injury report and is expected to resume his role as Marcus Mariota’s favorite target. He is facing a bad Dolphins defense this week.
Zach Ertz (TE-PHI) – Ertz was having a very good game week 1 before dislocating a rib on a big hit. He has missed the last three weeks but is now a full go at practice and expects to play a full slate of snaps against the Lions. The Lions are a bad defense and are very vulnerable to TEs. We expect Ertz to have a good showing in his first game back.
